Creating Batman Upside Down
Creating Batman Upside Down
$3.00
In this drawing exercise students are challenged to use the left and right side of their brains. When the average student draws they do not have the ability to recreate and image from brain to hand unless they are very talented. If we turn off the left side of the brain, the thinking side, and turn the image to be drawn up-side-down, then we switch to the right side of the brain that is just looking at lines and shading. With the image upside down, each student starts from the top of the image and draws the lines of the image down to the bottom. They are not thinking about the drawing because it is up-side-down and makes no sense. As they apply the lines shown then they end up with a drawing that they never knew they could draw.
